Who we are

NorthIRdev is a sole-trader software development service based in Northern Ireland, United Kingdom. When this policy refers to “we”, “us”, or “our”, it means NorthIRdev.

What data we collect

When you submit a project inquiry we collect:

• Your full name
• Your email address
• The package tier you selected
• The project details you provide in the free-text field

We do not store full payment card numbers. Card data is processed by Stripe when you pay a deposit online.

Payment data (Stripe)

When you pay a project deposit through Stripe Checkout, Stripe collects and processes your payment card details on our behalf. We receive confirmation of payment, the amount paid, and your email — not your full card number.

Why we collect it and our legal basis

We collect this information to respond to your project inquiry, discuss your requirements, and agree on the scope of work. The legal basis under UK GDPR is legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) — specifically our legitimate interest in evaluating and responding to business enquiries, balanced against your right to privacy.

How we use your data

• To review your project request and assess fit
• To contact you by email to discuss your project
• To keep a record of the inquiry for our internal CRM

We will not sell, share, or rent your data to any third party.

How long we keep your data

Inquiries are retained for up to 2 years from the date of submission, or until you request deletion, whichever is sooner. If a project agreement is reached, we will retain data for as long as required by UK tax and business law (typically 6 years).

Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request erasure of your data (“right to be forgotten”)
• Object to processing based on legitimate interests
• Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)

Cookies and tracking

This website does not use advertising trackers, analytics cookies, or third-party tracking scripts. A session cookie is used solely to maintain your logged-in state on the admin dashboard (admin users only). No visitor-facing cookies are set.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
